Orientation

I have decided to go to Emrby Riddle because i have grown up in the area. I have not yet chosen a major, but I think I am going to choose GSIS.
Orientation was last Thursday, and wow things are awesome now.

Moving in only took a few hours, and it was exciting meeting all the roommates. The room is alot bigger than I thought it would be, and it even has a stove top, microwave and refridgerator. In the loung there is a place for a T.V. but after we all got settled, we realized none of us brought one! Oops, I guess we’ll survive.

I love my roommates. Before I met them I was worried we wouldn’t get along and we wouldn’t have anything in common, but as far as I’ve seen, they are awesome. My roommate is from Vermont, but I also have suitmate’s from Salt Lake City, Boston, Northern Az and Orange County.
Starting my classes was extremely nerve racking. I’m taking 5 classes this semester:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday I hace UNIV 101 and PSY 101.
Tuesday’s and Thursday’s I have COM 219, BA 201 and IT109.

I am most excited about my Psychology and Management classes. I think these will be the most helpful for me no matter which path I decide to take.
After going to my first IT109 class (which is a basic computers course) I decided to change into the online section of the class. I am really glad I have this option because I am already really good with computers, so this means i can get through the class faster.

The Genesis

All the frenzy that accompanied SAT, TOEFL, Applications, Couriers, Admissions, Admission Decisions came to a partial end when I got an acceptance to ERAU on Feb 24,2008 with a good amount of scholarship that assisted me in ways more than I can write. However, the complete end came today after I attended the first college class of my life. The first class of MATLAB made me say “This is precisely what I need to do, and this is the place if one needs to fly, make people fly or learn how things fly

Aug. 25-29

Freshman year flew by last year and I quickly found myself on summer break; but just like school, summer flew by as well so before I knew it, I was already back at ERAU for another school year. I had come back at the end of June to take some classes in the Summer B semester and to get ahead in flight so I’ve been in school for a couple of months now. However, summer school did not feel like school at all. It felt more like a summer camp, that is, until the new students arrived. The parking lot was packed again and it was again hard to find a parking spot. Many new faces were walking around campus and now, long lines were all over campus so it took forever to get things done.

Despite all these, I couldn’t wait for the school year to start. The people I met and the friends I made were special enough to make me come back. In fact, I couldn’t wait for anybody to come back so we can hang out on the lawn in front of the halls, have BBQs, and spend hours next to the grill making smores.

As this year begins, books need to be bought, class schedules need to be printed, scheduling work and flights needs to be complete, preparing for another year of work, a lot of homework, great flying, and more memories need to be made. School has been in session for a week now and so far it looks like a good year.
